Meaning:
"All animals are equal but..." draws inspiration from George Orwell's Animal Farm, a phrase that resonates deeply with the realities of my country. Our justice system, rather than being a pillar of fairness, often tilts in favour of the wealthy, the influential, and politicians, leaving the common man at a disadvantage.
In this sculpture, I depict an animal wearing a helmet, symbolizing a biker, in the same manner, a cloth mender carrying a sewing machine on its shoulder. These figures represent everyday people—hustlers, labourers, and artisans—who, despite their struggles, stand little or no chance against a system designed to favour the powerful. Through this work, I challenge the illusion of equality and question the integrity of justice in our society.
